Kody Hughes is a dedicated financial advisor based in the Kansas City area, serving clients in Overland Park. A proud graduate of Kansas State University, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Personal Financial Planning in 2025. Kody’s journey with Keating began as a summer intern and continued throughout his final year of college, gaining lots of experience for his full-time role following graduation.

His approach to financial advising is shaped by the values instilled during his upbringing. Growing up in a family that remodeled homes together, he learned early on that every successful project begins with a solid foundation. One of his parents’ favorite stories recalls a young Kody telling a realtor, “we wont be buying this house – the foundation is shot.” That mindset carries into his professional philosophy today: A solid foundation is essential to achieving long-term success. Kody is committed to helping his clients build a stable and strategic financial base, one that supports growth and empowers them to reach their financial goals with confidence.

Outside the office, Kody is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys hunting, fishing, boating on the lake with family and friends, and snow skiing in Colorado. A lifelong K-State fan, he brings the same energy and enthusiasm to his clients’ financial futures as he does to cheering on the Wildcats.
